In 2025, New York State approved a record-breaking $1.2 billion environmental investment to protect clean water, parks, wildlife, and public health. This bold action follows statewide advocacy from the New Yorkers for Clean Water and Jobs coalition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What the $1.2 Billion Investment Includes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. $425 million<\/strong> to protect land, care for parks and forests, plant more trees, and support projects that keep our environment healthy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. $500 million<\/strong> to make sure our water stays clean and safe. This includes fixing pipes, improving sewers, and reducing pollution from our drinking water.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. $90 million<\/strong> to help the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) care for natural areas and wildlife.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. $200 million<\/strong> to make New York\u2019s parks better and more welcoming for everyone.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    This is the largest funding ever given to protect New York\u2019s environment. It will help ensure everyone can enjoy clean water, beautiful outdoor spaces, and healthier communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
