El art\u00edculo destaca c\u00f3mo los socios locales est\u00e1n utilizando un nuevo mapa de inventario de \u00e1rboles para cuantificar los beneficios medioambientales -desde la refrigeraci\u00f3n y la mitigaci\u00f3n de inundaciones hasta el ahorro de energ\u00eda- y para replantar estrat\u00e9gicamente los 4.000 \u00e1rboles callejeros que la ciudad ha perdido. Tambi\u00e9n destaca el papel esencial de la participaci\u00f3n de la comunidad, con vecinos que ayudan a regar y cuidar los \u00e1rboles j\u00f3venes en los cuatro distritos.  <\/p>\n\n<p>  Este reconocimiento confirma el poder de la administraci\u00f3n comunitaria para promover la justicia medioambiental. En ciudades como Newburgh -donde el calor extremo, la contaminaci\u00f3n y la desinversi\u00f3n afectan de forma desproporcionada a las familias de clase trabajadora-, restaurar la cubierta arb\u00f3rea no consiste s\u00f3lo en plantar \u00e1rboles, sino en crear barrios m\u00e1s sanos y seguros y desarrollar la resistencia clim\u00e1tica desde la base. El trabajo de Outdoor Promise centra a los j\u00f3venes, las familias y los residentes en esta transformaci\u00f3n, reforzando las conexiones sociales al tiempo que ampl\u00eda el acceso a la naturaleza y a la infraestructura verde.  <br\/><strong><br\/><\/strong>Ayuda a hacer crecer un Newburgh m\u00e1s verde, m\u00e1s fresco y m\u00e1s resistente. \ud83c\udf33<br\/>Apoya a Outdoor Promise ofreci\u00e9ndote como voluntario, haciendo un donativo o uni\u00e9ndote a nuestros esfuerzos de administraci\u00f3n comunitaria.
