We were recently featured in MidHudson Times for our participation in the City of Newburgh’s Arbor Day celebration, where Outdoor Promise joined the Conservation Advisory Council, Greater Newburgh Parks Conservancy, and local residents to plant nine new trees along Upper Broadway. The article highlights our shared goal of restoring Newburgh’s urban tree canopy and CEO Ronald Zorrilla’s remarks on the vital role trees play in improving air quality, community health, and neighborhood beauty.

At Outdoor Promise, we believe that environmental justice begins with local action. Tree planting isn’t just about beautification—it’s about creating cleaner, healthier, and more resilient communities for youth and families who live here. This recognition reinforces our mission to expand equitable access to green spaces and to empower residents to take part in shaping a greener, more sustainable Newburgh.
