Free Summer Camp For Newburgh Kids

Give Your Child the Gift of Outdoor Adventure & Learning!

Outdoor Promise is excited to partner with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) to offer a FREE week summer camp opportunity for kids and teens who love nature, science, and adventure.

This is a chance for students ages 11-17 to spend a week at Camp DeBruce, exploring the outdoors, making new friends, and learning about environmental conservation—all at no cost to families!

Who Can Apply?

✔ Kids ages 11–17 are eligible (participants must be 11 years old by December 1, 2026). Children who are currently age 10 may still join if they will turn 11 by that date.
✔ Must live in the Lower Hudson Valley
✔ Have an interest in nature, animals, science, or outdoor adventure

What’s Included?

✅ A Free Week at Camp DeBruce (lodging, meals, and activities covered)
✅ Hands-On Outdoor Experiences (hiking, wildlife observation, fishing, and more)
✅ Environmental Education taught by DEC experts
✅ All Equipment Provided for activities
✅ Transportation Available (if needed)

Boys’ Cabins: All weeks are currently full. Boys may still apply and will be placed on a waitlist if space becomes available.
