Outdoor Promise is excited to share that 23 campers have been registered for a FREE Week at DEC Summer Campership Program at Camp DeBruce!
In partnership with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), this incredible opportunity gives youth ages 11–17 the chance to experience a full week of outdoor adventure, environmental education, and summer fun — completely free for families.
At this time, boys’ cabins are currently full for all camp weeks, and any additional boys who apply will be placed on a waiting list if space becomes available.
The good news is that there are still spots available for girls in several camp sessions, and we encourage families to apply soon before those spaces fill up.
Campers will enjoy:
- Hiking, fishing, and wildlife observation
- Hands-on environmental education with DEC experts
- Lodging, meals, and activities included
- Transportation assistance if needed
- A chance to build friendships and unforgettable memories outdoors
Eligible participants must:
- Be ages 11–17 (must turn 11 by December 1, 2026)
- Live in the Lower Hudson Valley
- Have an interest in nature, science, animals, or outdoor adventure
Spots are limited, and availability changes quickly. Families interested in registering should complete the application as soon as possible.
