
Outdoor Promise was featured in Mid-Hudson News for participating in the Desmond Center for Community Engagement and Wellness’s first-ever “Healthy Communities: A Shared Responsibility Towards Wellness” conference at Mount Saint Mary College. Founder Ronald Zorrilla led a breakout session titled “Newburgh at the Crossroads: An Overview of Environmental Justice Concerns,” exploring how environmental issues intersect with community health, equity, and resilience.
This event highlighted the power of collaboration in building a healthier and more just community. At Outdoor Promise, we believe that environmental justice is inseparable from public health and youth well-being. By sharing our perspective on Newburgh’s environmental challenges, we continue working to ensure that every family and young person has access to clean air, safe water, and natural spaces that support lifelong wellness.
