Community Adventure – Sojourner Truth Trail, Shaupeneak Ridge

Join us for a community hike at the beautiful Shaupeneak Ridge on June 1, 2024. This hike is part of the National Trails Day celebration. It is particularly significant as it falls on Pentecost Sunday, the day Sojourner Truth chose her name to reflect her mission of preaching the truth.

The hike will start with a pick-up at Safe Harbors Green at 10:00 AM, with transportation provided for 12 participants. We will journey to Shaupeneak Ridge, where Helena Mazurek (SCA) will lead a walk on the Sojourner Truth Trail.

Following this, Jeremy Laplanche will lead a birding walk on the blue trail around Louise Pond, offering a chance to observe the diverse bird species in the area.
