Honored to Attend: Palisades Parks Conservancy’s Party for the Parks Gala

On June 1st, Outdoor Promise had the privilege of attending the Palisades Parks Conservancy’s annual Party for the Parks Gala at Ross Dock in Fort Lee, NJ — and it was an evening we won’t soon forget.

This year’s event was extra special, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Conservancy, a nonprofit dedicated to connecting people to one of the most incredible park systems in the region. The Palisades Interstate Park spans over 130,000 acres across New York and New Jersey, offering millions of visitors a place to explore, recharge, and connect with nature every year.

The evening honored Carol Ash, a founding visionary of the Conservancy and lifelong steward of the Palisades and Hudson Valley, among other remarkable honorees whose dedication to preserving and expanding access to our parks is truly commendable.

Being in a room full of people who share our passion for connecting communities to the outdoors was incredibly inspiring. From conservationists to community leaders, the energy in the room reflected a shared commitment to making nature accessible to everyone — something that sits at the very heart of what we do at Outdoor Promise.

Moments like this remind us why we do what we do. Every hike we lead, every bus ride we provide, every young person we introduce to the outdoors — it all connects to a larger movement of people who believe that nature belongs to everyone.

We are grateful to have been welcomed as guests of the Conservancy and look forward to continuing to build relationships with organizations that share our vision. Here’s to more parks, more access, and more time in nature for everyone.
