Outdoor Promise Is Leading NYORC’s Regional Gatherings This November
This November, Outdoor Promise is hosting three free evening gatherings across New York for the people who get their neighbors outside — and we want to hear what gets in your way.
Outdoor Promise manages the New York Outdoor Recreation Coalition‘s Conservation Catalyst project, which is building four free toolkits for community groups: how to find funding, how to handle permits and insurance, who to call, and how to engage young people. Before we write them, we are listening. Each gathering is a 90-minute conversation with the groups doing the work in that region.
The gatherings

All gatherings are free and run 6:00–7:30 PM with light refreshments. Nonprofits, hiking crews, youth programs, park friends groups and agency staff are all welcome. Registration helps us plan food and seating.
Can't come? Take the seven-minute survey
The Share Your Experience survey asks the same questions we will cover at the gatherings. It is open through January, in Spanish and English.
